Dentons advises lenders on €673.7 million term and revolving loan facilities for Telekom Srbija

Global law firm Dentons advised UniCredit SpA, UniCredit Bank Serbia JSC Belgrade, Erste Group Bank AG, Erste Bank ad Novi Sad and Raiffeisen Bank International AG as mandated lead arrangers for term and revolving credit facilities of 673.7 million euros for Telekom Srbija ad Beograd, the public telecommunications company and the largest fixed and mobile operator in Serbia.

The facility, which will be used for refinancing, working capital and investments, presented a new structure for the Serbian market in the form of a revolving credit facility combining both local and international liquidity which can be accessed jointly or separately according to the needs of the borrower. The syndication closed with a healthy oversubscription and eight more banks joined in the deal, ultimately increasing the amount of the facility.

Partner Marc Segall led the Dentons team on the transaction together with senior partners Stefi Ionescu and Lawrence Florescu.

Mark Segall commented on the deal: “This is a fantastic deal for all parties, supporting the very positive trajectory of Telekom Srbija’s business, as evidenced by the strong appetite in the loan market. This transaction illustrates Dentons’ ability to support our clients in the structuring and implementation of innovative financing solutions.
